Why fruits are considered a healthy food?


Fruits are a huge source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. They are believed to be good antioxidants, which makes them an absolutely necessary component of our daily portion of food, regardless of the way they are consumed. Amongst bigger benefits of eating fruits – apples, bananas, pears, grape, grapefruit and all other fruits are:

Are all fruits good for people’s health?


Generally speaking, fruits are very important for our health. Of course fruits just like any other food must be consumed with the proper understanding of their nature. For example - apples, grapes, kiwis, berries, pineapples, oranges, apricots and plums are of those fruits that could be consumed at any time. On the contrary, it is not advisable to eat mangoes, jack fruit, papaya, avocados less than two hours before going to bed. There are a number of rules for healthy diets that should be considered in order to make best use of fruits’ advantages for human body.


Fresh fruits, juice or canned fruits?

Of course eating fresh fruits is with no doubt better than canned or juiced fruits, but there are some cases where fruit can only be consumed when juiced (babies for example), or when out of season the canned fruits come handy. In addition, when we make home-made strawberry or banana milk shakes we won’t remove anything from the fruits nutrition and on top of that, as juice we will consume more fruits. But if compared to canned juices – in which case we are not going to get any dietary fiber and in exchange we get more sugar, which is definitely not as good for our health.
